Dr. Atul Gupta is an accomplished interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive procedures. His clinical expertise in procedures, especially with balloon kyphoplasty, peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting, uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), and varicose vein ablation treatments, has earned Dr. Gupta the reputation as a well-respected IR physicians in the Rochester region. He has spent nearly his entire life in the area, completing medical school at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse and training as a surgeon prior to his diagnostic radiology residency at University at Buffalo School. He then left the area for a year to finish his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at The Washington Hospital Center. He then worked at Buffalo at Roswell Park Cancer Institute prior to joining Rochester Radiology and becoming section chief of IR at RGH and chairman at Newark-Wayne Hospital.

Dr. Gupta is an avid triathlete, training year-round in endurance running, swimming, and biking, and competing in multiple events every year all over the country. He also loves traveling and spending time with family.
