Dr. Jon Broder is the Chairman of Radiology at Rochester General Hospital and an accomplished interventional radiologist. To Dr. Broder, “it is a true privilege as I am able to significantly impact the lives of my patients and their families. Offering minimally invasive image-guided procedures to my patients allows for a quicker recovery time often with less risk than the traditional surgical alternative.” His clinical expertise in procedures, especially with peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting, uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), and varicose vein ablation treatments, has earned Dr. Broder the reputation as one of the most respected IR physicians in the Rochester region. Moreover, his clinical and administrative leadership as Chairman have led to huge advances in image quality, departmental efficiency, and patient safety in the busy and rapidly growing radiology department. This combination allows him to offer a unique perspective given his more than ten years of IR experience combined with his leadership experience as one of RGH’s Chiefs of Service. Dr. Broder also enjoys teaching these skills to the radiology residents at Rochester General Hospital.
When not working, Dr. Broder treasures the time spent with his wife and 12 year old twins. You can find them skiing on Bristol mountain in the winter and exploring the Finger Lakes during the summer.
